2013 CGE Annual Meeting
Over 120 friends and colleauges came together September 18-20, 2013, for CGE’s 2013 Annual Meeting at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. Participants engaged in a time of listening and sharing with key global speakers and planning toward the advancement of quality education with a caring heart throughout CGE’s global networks.
Keynote speakers at the 2013 meeting included Dr. Gerald Pillay, Vice-Chancellor and Rector of Liverpool Hope University and Dr. Samuel Ling, President from MIT and the College of Liberal Arts in Yangon, Myanmar, as well as guests from Greece, Russia, Mongolia, China, Lebanon, and Jordan.

A pre-meeting forum took place on Wed. afternoon, September 18, for colleagues interested in CGE's Global Cities Study Abroad opportunities. Representatives from CAPA Global Cities and CGE strategic cities gave detailed information for recruiting students, creating safe and meaningful programs, and adding value for students in each location. This forum was held from 2:00 - 4:30 PM on the beautiful site, overlooking Samford's campus, at the President's home of Andy and Jeanna Westmoreland.
Guests were able to come and reconnect with all of CGE's overseas partners and hear about the 2013-2014 international events, programs, and projects. Participants were also able to join in on the special 200th anniversary celebration of Adoniram Judson's arrival to Burma.
